The most unique characteristic of the College of Comparative Culture is the great number of diverse classes taught by a richly variegated teaching staff. Beginning with the Freshman Seminar, nearly 300 specialized subjects are taught in addition to foreign language classes and other classes taught by native speakers in which international students participate actively. The College of Comparative Culture provides an attractive and diverse curriculum. Furthermore, the majority of these classes have a student enrollment of less than 20 students: a rare luxury.

     Each student is free to choose the classes they will enroll in. It is fine to feel a bit lost when faced with so many choices as at the beginning of the year the teaching staff and upper class students provide detailed curriculum guidance and curriculum advice sessions.

     Participation in student club activities and engaging in part-time work are sure to enrich your college life. Many students will be living alone for the first time, so it is important to decide a reasonable lifestyle in order to enjoy a fulfilling campus life.
