広義の「文化」に関わる諸問題を対象とし、芸術・文化・思想を学際的に扱うことができる。

This area targets various issues related to "culture" in a broad sense, and treats art, culture, and thought in an interdisciplinary manner.

文化創造論コースは次の三つの視点から、文化創造のダイナミズムを学生の皆さんと一緒に研究し、理解していきます。
1)　文化創造の現場と連携し、社会との関係性を問いながら、文化創造のダイナミズムを分析することを目指します。
2)　芸術・文化（音楽、絵画、オペラ、公共ホール、映画、エコクリティーク、サブカルチャーなど）について批評的に学ぶことができます。
3)　現代社会の諸問題（権力、差別、マイノリティ、ジェンダー、セクシュアリティ、環境など）について思想的に学ぶことができます。

以上の三つの視点を中心に、文化創造とその意義を多角的に分析し、理解します。

In this area, you can research and understand the dynamism of cultural creation from the following perspectives:
1) analyzing the dynamism of cultural creation by collaborating with the sites of cultural creation and questioning its relationship with society.
2) learning critically about art and culture (music, painting, opera, public halls, film, ecocritique, subculture, etc.).
3) reflecting theoretically on various issues in modern society (power, discrimination, minorities, gender, sexuality, environment, etc.).

Centering on the these perspectives, you can analyze and understand cultural creation and its meaning from multiple angles.

Area of Cultural Creativity started last year along with reorganization of College of Comparative Culture, with a view to working together with students on the new experiment. It leads students to learn art and culture creation on the basis of contemporary cross-disciplinary theories and thoughts. Further, music related classes are offered only at this Area, nowhere else in University of Tsukuba.
